Bio
Airi Huoponen Foote has been involved in art since her childhood in Lahti, Finland. She has always had a strong interest in drawing and painting. She took some classes and began painting professionally as an oil painter, creating primarily realistic landscapes and still lifes.
In recent years, Airi has attended a wide variety of art workshops and has extensively broadened her repertoire of subjects and media. She creates both abstract and traditional works, utilizing watercolors, acrylics, mixed media, and collage. She has been complemented many times on her sense of color, no matter what the subject or media.
Her efforts have been rewarded with a number of awards at juried art shows, as well as publication of a rose painting in the book The Best Of Flower Painting by North Light Books.
